We develop all our drainage within intelligent, 3D models. And have done many years. Whilst the deliverable might be 2D PDF, the source of that PDF has always been a 3D model
Urban drainage models can be quite complex beasts. Compounding this will be the interfaces between many disciplines. If the project supports it, we will utilise Navisworks within the modelling process to monitor clashing and interfacing with the building’s structure and MEP, below ground utilities, landscaping, etc
We have undertaken modelling and drawing production from RIBA Stage 2 through to 5 and also under the NEC framework.
We develope our plans directly from 3D models. The annotation you see on plan is dynamically extracted from the 3D model, database. When (not if) the model changes so does the annotation. Want to change the drawing scale? No problem. It’s dynamic! we just have to move things around a little to retain legibility.
That drainage schedule is dynamic. Schedules are generated directly from the 3D drainage model. When, rather than if, the model changes the schedules update……within reason.
Gone are the days of static, 2D longitudinal sections. We will always tend towards the production of dynamic and intelligent sections based on the 3D drainage model.
Again, we have undertaken residential modelling and drawing production from RIBA Stage 2 through to 5 and also under the NEC framework.

Gone are the days of static, 2D longitudinal sections. We will always tend towards the production of dynamic and intelligent sections based on the 3D drainage model. The added bonus of such sections is the ability to include 3D utilities model data, structures and roads into the sections
Building drainage models will undoubtedly have many interfaces between disciplines. We utilise Navisworks within the modelling process to monitor clashing and interfacing with the building’s structure and MEP. We have undertaken modelling and drawing production from RIBA Stage 2 through to 4

Every project will require detail drawings. These details assist the construction teams, other disciplines and also local planning authorities. They can be “standard” or “bespoke”. Although most standard details tend to migrate into bespoke during the design development of the project
